The Society of Saint Vincent de Paul is a volunteer-run program that offers assistance to the needy of our community.
Volunteers prepare box donations of food goods and give them out to the needy twice a month.
Food distribution is held on the second and fourth Saturdays of the month from 8:00 AM - 10:00 AM.

Donations of food
desperately needed for our St. Vincent
DePaul food pantry
The Society of Saint Vincent de Paul at Saint Justin Martyr Catholic Church is asking for parish/community support with additional food donations through a food drive. Since the Coronavirus and the isolation that has followed, many locations that offered food distribution have closed. As a result, St. Justin’s volume of recipients has significantly increased. In April 2020, those served at St. Justin’s included 208 families, 521 single-person homes, 36 home household deliveries, and 50 homeless served for a total volume of 815. Our drive-through service has significantly reduced client to volunteer exposures, however in April 2020, our volunteers handled at least 5,000 pounds of food which were distributed to those in need without cost to the recipient. To accommodate a large number of those in need, we have depleted our pantry goods. Thanks to our wonderful volunteers, we have been able to distribute groceries and hope to be able to continue to do so.
Below are some examples of foods that can benefit the most recipients and can be accommodated in the storage space we have, without required refrigeration. Our recipients are multicultural so feel free to donate non-refrigerated items that will benefit other cultures.
1. Cereal
2. Cup of soup
3. Macaroni and cheese
4. Peanut butter
5. Crackers
6. Can soups
7. Canned meats: tuna, chicken, or ham
8. Rice
9. Beans
