"Is anyone among you suffering? He should pray. Is anyone in good spirits? He should sing praise." --James 5:13
"O LORD, my God, I cried out to you for help and you healed me." --Psalm 30: 3
We have different ways that we can pray together for someone who is sick or has a special intention:
1. Mass Petitions: Different from a Mass Intention. During the petitions at Mass also called Prayer of the Faithful or Universal Prayer, there is a special petition where we pray for all who are sick and suffering. The names of those who we are praying for are mentioned. To include names for the sick on the next upcoming Mass, send an email to [email protected]g call the parish office at 714-774-2595.
Those who have recently passed away (within a couple of weeks) can also be added to the prayer for the deceased. However, if it is a death anniversary, a Mass intention should be offered instead.
2. Mass Intention: A Mass intention can be offered for someone, living or deceased, or as a thanksgiving or especial intention. Mass intentions can be requested in any of our regular Masses that we offer. However, they fill up quickly, therefore for a specific date, Mass intentions should be requested months ahead of time.
The recommended donation for a Mass intention is $20.
For a specific date for a Mass Intention, please call the parish office at 714-774-2595 or for the first one available you may send your request by email: [email protected]
3. Prayer Box: We have a prayer box that it is kept in the altar of the church. If you would like to add a prayer to the prayer box, simply submit the form below it will be printed and placed in the prayer box.
