The Saint Vincent DePaul Society (SVDP) helps the poor and needy by supplying food and other necessities to those who live within the parish boundaries, and to aid them in emergencies.
SVDP of St. Justin Martyr operates entirely on volunteers. Every Wednesday volunteers package and distribute bags of food for families.
Food drives are held in our parish several times a year to help them resupply their stock.
How You Can Help
The generosity of our parishioners and benefactors enables SVDP to purchase and pick up food each month from Orange County's Food Distribution Center. Food and monetary donations are accepted throughout the year.
Wednesdays 8:30-9:30 a.m. to pack food bags to be given out on the evening 5:30-7 p.m. Stop by on Wednesday during these times and check us out.
You can help by placing donations in the blue envelopes in the pews and selecting "Christian Service to the Poor." Place the envelope in the Sunday donation basket, or bring your donation directly to the Parish Office any time.
Donations of non perishable food such as: pasta, pasta sauce, beans (canned or raw), rice, cereal, macaroni and cheese, instant noodle soups, any vegetable and fruit cans, etc. are always needed.
Christmas Toy Drive
Starting each year in July, SVDP starts collecting new unwrapped toys for Christmas. The toys are given out to the children of families who live within our parish boundaries and have signed up on the toy request list.
