Cenacle

"In gratitude, using our God given talents to love and serve the poor and needy of our community by offering a hot meal and drinks every Sunday afternoon without judgment, questions or religious affiliation, to those who present themselves to us in keeping with the Gospel message: 'I was hungry and you have me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink'"

The Cenacle is the place of the Last Supper where the Holy Spirit came down upon the apostles.  Every Sunday afternoon under the lunch shelter, the St. Justin's Cenacle group serves hot meals to those in need.  The Cenacle is made up of four teams of 8-10 people who prepare and serve the food.  The Cenacle is funded through the St. Vincent de Paul Society and through donations.  The group also comes together several times a year to meet in prayer, guidance, and thanksgiving for their continued service to all of those in need.  The Cenacle demonstrates that feeding the hungry is following the teachings of Jesus, who said, "When I was hungry you gave me to eat."

The Cenacle group serves hot meals on Sundays at 2:30 p.m. for anyone and everyone who comes.

How You Can Help

Annual Socks Drive

During the winter months, the Cenacle group has a socks drive to benefit the homeless and needy of those who come for the hot lunch. They ask for new white sport socks for men. You can bring them to the Parish Office any day of the week during the winter months.
