Event: An Introduction to the Spiritual Life - Three Ways of Praying
Time: 7-9 p.m.
Place: Youth room
More Information: An Adult Education Opportunity presented by Fr. John Monestero. To explore what exactly is the spiritual life according to our rich Catholic tradition. Will focus on how to pray the scriptures (Lectio divina), the psalms, and the Jesus Prayer which is also known as the Prayer of the Heart. This lecture will also be presented on March 8th.


March 2

Event: Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament
Place: church
Time: after the 8:30 a.m. Mass
More Information: Every first Friday of the month the Blessed Sacrament is exposed for adoration and remains until the following day, Saturday, at 8 a.m.


March 3


Event: Anointing of the Sick
Place: church
Time: during the 8:30 a.m. Mass
More Information: The Sacrament of Anointing of the Sick is for Catholics who have an upcoming surgery, have deteriorating health, a chronic illness or major distress. This sacrament is administer every first Saturday of the month during the 8:30 a.m. Mass and in Spanish the first Monday of the Month at 7 p.m. at Sacred Heart Mission.

More Information: This penance service is geared toward families and children but everyone is welcome for confession.

More Information: Many priest from nearby churches will be available for confession in both English and Spanish.

Palm Sunday of the Passion of the Lord

More Information: Additional Mass in the hall at the 9:30 am Spanish Mass.

Event: Decorative Palm Sale
More Information: Fundraiser for the Youth and Young Adult Ministries of St. Justin. Suggested donation $10. Students will be outside of the church offering the palms. Please support our Youth and Young Adult Ministries by getting your decorative palms from them instead of outside (uninvited) vendors that will come and stand on the walkway.


March 26

Chrism Mass
Time: 5 p.m.
Place: St. Columban, Garden Grove
More Information: Mass presided by Bishop Kevin Vann where the Holy Oils are blessed. We will not have Mass at 7 p.m. at Sacred Heart Mission

No morning Masses on Holy Thursday, Good Friday or Holy Saturday

Event: Mass of the Lord's Supper
Time: 7 p.m.

More Information: Bilingual Mass. Procession with the Blessed Sacrament to the hall at the end of the celebration. The Blessed Sacrament will remain exposed in the hall until 12 midnight.

Good Friday

Event: Passion and Veneration of the Cross
Time: 1:30 p.m.

More Information: English service.

Live Stations of the Cross (Spanish)
Time: 5 p.m.
Place: field
More Information: Presented by our parish group Pastoral Cultural. After the presentation the Veneration of the Cross will proceed in the field. Limited seats, please bring your own chair and warm clothing as it gets cold and windy.

March 31

No confessions on Holy Saturday. No 5:30 and 7:00 p.m. Masses.

Time: 8 p.m.

More Information: Multilingual Mass. Please expect Mass to be more than 3 hours long as we will be having Baptisms, Confirmation and First Holy Communion for children and adults.
