Bereavement Support

"We, the St. Justin Martyr Parish community, wish to minister to the family and loved ones of the person who has died, as well as to pray for the peaceful repose of the soul of the deceased"

Several times each year the parish offers a series of six meetings of the Bereavement Support Group.  This group provides a loving place where people can come and express their grief experiences in a confidential, caring, and prayerful manner in order to gain hope and strength from one another.

We are often asked how long grief lasts. The answer is much longer than society thinks or allows. Grief is a long, painful, intellectual, and emotional reaction to loss that can take two years or more. Everyone grieves in their own way. Often grief is incomplete. We can help.
